The Armon did have a restaurantβa kosher dairy one (and thus it was closed on Sat., the Sabbath). I did go there on Sun morning and had pancakes with syrup, yogurt etc and cafe Americano. Yes the food options of the Hilton are lacking though I guess it has a Starbucks and one eatery. May be a bit of a walk to local restaurants though those with a car may have more luck. In my case I had forgotten about the hotel booking, got in an hour later and only wound up with staying the Thu at the Hilton. The Fri and Sat nights will be a mile away at the LaQuinta, where I stayed last month. They are connected to The Stamford Diner which has breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Will that be our backup hotel?

Mine is in amazing condition apart from a rear diff leaking out all it oil before I replaced the seal. Inside was basically a 1/4 cup of gear oil and just a ton of metal shavings so we'll see how long it lives after I've refilled it now

My car is a 24 Versa (Nissan) which I'm financing. I had gotten a 19 Sentra and had paid half of it off, but wanted something new....got on May 4 and already put 4k miles on it. The trip to AC just now was a lot of thatβPA such a big state. Of course people have said Nissans can tend to have transmission problems after awhile. Well I have a service contract etc Good on gas and I take care of it. It will make the trip fine.

At AC there's walking, true but also the shuttle buses ran and there's the subway which is free on Northside and Downtown, and $2.75 once you cross the Mon river. I had to treat my roomie to Primanti Bros in Market Sq (near the Gateway subway station) and I think we walked there. German place Hofbrauhaus, I took a car. There was a Starbucks in the Marriott Center City and once I walked to Doubletree for their breakfast buffet (nearby). Admitttedly some days were so busy I had to rely on the popup concession stand for a chicken and rice dish and Pepsi (a bit overpriced, but no time...) There was Furnando's nearby.

Cons like AC wouldn't allow snack food panels as it would take away from the concession stands at conv ctr and their own restaurants--I didn't stay at Westin but noticed the Westie's snack bar in lobby. Of course our intent is to sample interesting food from far and wide.
When the creators of Circles books did a panel at ANE they treated us to their own brownies.
My roommate had us shop for soda and snacks at Target before the con; hotels don't always have working vending machines that still have cans or bottles. We Were at Marriott City Ctr and nearby Doubletree had a 7 11--only its hours were limited.
Again, last yr Furpoc was lucky enough to have TWO snack food panels

Yup! I saw it in the winter of 2017. I'm pretty sure that this film was a Russian reply to the American 3D animated movie: "Fly me to the Moon." When I saw the latter, I was lucky to that the library's copy contained 3D glasses. The view of the linked Command-Service & Lunar Excursion modules was amazing!
I like them both about equally. If I had to choose which one's better, plot-wise, I'd say "Space Dogs."
